Robert Clarke was a professional dancer for ten years with Northern Ballet, Ballet de Euskadi, London Ballet Theatre and Ballet Wales. He was also a staff teacher at the British Ballet Organisation.

Since retiring from dance, Robert has primarily worked as a massage therapist and a Lotte Berk teacher, originally training in 2002 with Gay Christie who worked with Lotte herself in the 1970's. He has the distinction of being the only male Lotte Berk teacher in the UK.
